WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE DAMAGE DEPOSIT?
A half month rent, which will be reimbursed at the end of the lease term if the residence is returned in the same state that it was provided. Note that tenants with pets are required to submit a deposit of an additional half month’s rent.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
YES! We are a pet friendly building and up to 2 pets are allowed :) See above relating to an additional pet deposit required. Note that the landlord reserves the right to restrict a pet if they deem that pet to be a nuisance or a danger to the building or its residents.
CAN MORE THAN 1 PERSON OCCUPY A UNIT?
Yes, with the exception of the studio. The 1 bedroom apartments have a max occupancy of 2 people and the 2 bedroom apartments have a max of 4 people.
WHAT IS THE TERM OF THE LEASE THAT NEEDS TO BE SIGNED?
12 month terms are the preference of the landlord, with the possibility of a 6 month term being accommodated.
WHAT APPLIANCES ARE INCLUDED IN THE KITCHENS?
Fridge, freezer, oven, stove, microwave and dishwasher. All of which are high end stainless steel appliances.
DO THE RESIDENCES HAVE IN SUITE LAUNDRY?
Yes, all residences have brand new in suite washer and dryers.
IS THERE BIKE STORAGE?
There is ample secured bike storage lockers situated in P2 of the parkade. Within the secured bike storage area there is both a common bike parking area available to tenants at no extra charge as well as 14 individual bike lockers, which can be rented for an extra cost of $15 per month.
DOES THE BUILDING HAVE SECURED VEHICLE PARKING?
Yes, the building has 19 secured underground parking stalls which are available for rent at an additional cost of $75/month.
DOES THE BUILDING HAVE STORAGE LOCKERS?
Yes, the building has 16regular storage lockers available for rent at an additional cost of $30/month.
IS THE BUILDING WIRED FOR WIFI AND CABLE?
Yes, the building has just been wired by Telus to accommodate Optik 4K super high speed internet and 4K HDR cable, the first and only of its kind in Western Canada. Telus currently offers tenants at Ocho a 40% discount on their service package. Tenants are responsible for setting up their own accounts directly with Telus.
HOW ARE THE RESIDENCES HEATED?
The residences benefit from highly efficient in floor radiant heating.
WHO PAYS FOR THE UTILITIES?
The residences are separately metered for all utilities and tenants are required to set up their own accounts for payment. Utilities are not included in the rent.
CAN YOU SMOKE IN THE BUILDING?
No, this is a non-smoking building.
DOES THE BUILDING HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?
No, it does not.

1/2 block to the south of the property on Broadway.
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST SKYTRAIN STATION?
VCC – Clark station is a 4 minute walk northwest of Ocho and the Commercial-Broadway is a close second – just a 5 minute walk East of Ocho.
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST GROCERY STORE?
Safeway is situated two blocks to the east at Commercial and Broadway.
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST COFFEE SHOP?
There are many, but the closest is Starbucks situated 2 blocks east at Commercial and Broadway.
